I hope you’re ready to take a closer look at one of our favorite parts of event planning because today’s post is all about the details! Our mission at K. Barner Events has always been to create a unique, custom-designed, and flawless event for you and yours. One way we accomplish that is getting to know each client on a personal level, then dreaming up all the special details that makes the day memorable. We know that the littlest detail can make the biggest impact, and we love creating these moments for you.

So today, we’re looking back at one of our stunning 2022 weddings on the beautiful private island of Lana’i, Hawaii. The wedding took place at the Four Seasons and was gorgeous. As this wedding was on a secluded island, our team had to factor in all the extra logistics, planning, and challenges that come up when planning in such a remote location. Every single detail was either flown or boated in, but the incredible result was so worth it! From the custom stationery, to the elegant cliffside ceremony and reception, to the bespoke Verzuz after party, every detail of this wedding reflected our couple and made a lasting impression.

Pre-wedding details

Crafting the details of a wedding start long before the wedding day. We collaborated with a stationery designer in NJ to create a monogram and custom day-of stationery. Each piece was carefully thought out and designed. Guests were welcomed to the island with these gorgeous, tropical-inspired welcome boxes. We love items that can be cherished after your wedding day, such as the cufflinks and keepsake boxes. They add such a special touch!

Ceremony and Reception

For the ceremony and reception, we focused on bringing the couple’s “refined, classic, and jaw-dropping” vision to life. Can you honestly look at these photos and not get heart eyes? We planned and designed everything from what kind of chairs were used (peep the ceremony’s ghost chairs) to the linens at the table, and everything in between.

To achieve this day-of look, we worked with a local florist to build all the custom floral arrangements. Shout out to Teresa, the sweetest, most amazing woman who took our vision and executed it flawlessly. Local vendors also helped bring our vision of the beautiful custom, gold-plated bar and dance floor to life. We loved using our clients’ monogram in different places to give another layer of personalization that you don’t often see in weddings.

The After Party

The details continued to shine into the night at the after party! This was one for the books – the epic Verzuz after party was Southern vs. Jamaican to reflect the cultures of the bride and groom. Guests were greeted with chicken and waffles and other southern cuisines, as well as jerk chicken and beef patties. They danced well into the night to reggae and various southern rappers. Check out that groom’s cake (it was also his birthday) and the custom dance floor!
